Sundarban is one of the world's largest coastal mangrove forests which is situated in West Bengal, India. It has been around the time of the Pala empire from the 8th to 12th century and even older, this site is shown unearthed in Rizakpur village near Khulna. Sundarban National Park is the national park of India, which includes a tiger reserve and biosphere reserve. The Delta is densely covered by the mangrove forest and also it is protected from the Royal Bengal tiger because of the tiger reserve area. There is many varieties of birds, reptile, wild animals, and some other species including saltwater crocodiles available in Sundarban.
Now, president, the Sundarban national park is the core area of the tiger reserve in 1973 and was also declared a wildlife Sanctuary in 1977. On 4 May 1984 it became a national park. In 1987 it was inscribed UNESCO world heritage site. In 2019 it’s considered a Ramsar site.
